Elon Musk’s TruthGPT: Revolutionizing Language Models for Fact-Checking

Elon Musk Says He'll Create 'TruthGPT' To Counter AI 'Bias' - VINnews

Billionaire Elon Musk has announced that he will be launching an artificial intelligence (AI) platform called “TruthGPT” to directly compete with ChatGPT, a popular chatbot application developed by OpenAI.

In a recent interview with Fox News Channel on April 17th, Musk revealed his plans to develop TruthGPT, an AI platform that seeks to understand the nature of the universe by searching for truth. According to the CEO of SpaceX and Twitter, the purpose of TruthGPT could be “the safest path” as AI delves into the exploration of the universe, ensuring that it does not pose a threat to humanity because “we are an interesting part of it.”

Currently, Elon Musk is recruiting AI researchers from Google to launch a startup that competes with OpenAI. Last month, Musk registered a company called X.AI Corp in Nevada, listing Tesla’s CEO as the sole director and Jared Birchall, Musk’s family office executive, as the secretary.

Musk’s recent actions come after he and a group of AI experts and executives signed an open letter calling for a temporary halt to the development of more powerful AI systems, including GPT-4, for six months due to potential risks to society.

In the interview with Fox News, the billionaire also reiterated his warnings about the dangers of AI, stating that AI is much more dangerous than designing a faulty aircraft or slackening maintenance in an automobile production line.

It is worth mentioning that Elon Musk was also one of the co-founders of OpenAI in 2015, but he left the board of this startup in 2018 to focus on Tesla and SpaceX, as he explained in 2019.
